The reason that colonization happened in SEA And WA Is so that the European Influence became more and more known the country's like the British Empire, France, and the Dutch. They also colonize the region because of oil and rubber, obviously this is a big part of colonization of the New World, they wanted resources, the sphere of influence also. And also This is a very very big reason of why Japanese Empire invaded SEA because they are kinda weak in economy because they have no main trading product and they lack some resources so they invaded SEA and took their resources.
