Well, without technology I am not sure where we would gat after so many years of the existence of this world. This world exists billions of years. This is the story and history of the technology.
The only dilemma/problem/hardships the technology faces is where do we get more budgets to advance too many researches that are on hold, and if they were having better budget this world would have stand not in the current place/stage of development.
I am aware that there is not enough money for development, but, if more money would have been invested in techyno0logy many problems that we face would have never appear.
One and the first is better lives for people like accommodation, fresh water, food then we move to pleasure. People that have food (bread and more) and pleasure/ entertainment are satisficed.
So this is the need Bread and entertainment and it will come from/through the technology,
