Mrs. Cruz was able to sell one of her lots ammounting to 65 000 pesos. She wants to divide this among her three children in ratio of 1/4 : 1/3 : 1/2. How much will each of her children receive?
65,000 = 1/4x + 1/3x + 1/2x
65,000 = 13/12x

x = 60,000
- 60,000 × 1/4 = 15,000
- 60,000 × 1/3 = 20,000
- 60,000 × 1/2 = 30,000
Their total is 65,000:
- 15,000 + 20,000 + 30,000 = 65,000 ✔︎

First child will receive = 15,000
