Learning Task 2 Study The Data Presented In The Table Below The Table Shows The Relative Wavelength Frequency And Energy Of Each Of The Different Types Of Elect class=

Sagot :

ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES

Answer:

1. The seven types of the electromagnetic waves are the following:

Radio waves, Microwaves, Infrared, Optical (Visible Light), Ultraviolet, X-rays, and Gamma-rays. (arranged from longest to shortest wavelength)

2. The type of electromagnetic wave that have the longest wavelength and lowest frequency and energy is the RADIO WAVES.

3. The type of electromagnetic waves have the shortest wavelength and highest frequency and energy is the GAMMA-RAYS.

Explanation:

Electromagnetic waves or electromagnetic spectrums can be described using their wavelength, frequency, and energy.

Wavelength - is the distance between one wave crest to the next, a crest is the highest part of a wave.

Frequency -   is the number of occurrences of a repeating event per unit of time and it is measured in hertz (Hz) that is equal to one event per second.

Energy - is the energy carried by a single photon. The amount of energy is directly proportional to the photon's electromagnetic frequency. And it can be determine by using the formula:  [tex]E = hf[/tex]

Where:

E = photon energy, Joules

f = frequency, Hz

h = planck's constant, 6.63×10^-34 J/s
