Let n be the number of hours the man should work to finish the job in 10 days.

8 = 10

n    12

(8)(12) = (10)(n)

96 = 10n

2. Given: 9 different brands of ice cream

               ₱254 - average price of 9 different brands of ice cream

               ₱282 - cost of another brand

               ₱292 - cost of the last brand of ice cream

               11 brands of ice cream

Find the total costs of all the ice cream brands.

9(₱254) + ₱282 + ₱292 = ₱2286 + ₱282 + ₱292 = ₱2860

Divide the total price of the ice cream with the number of brands of ice cream.

₱2860 ÷ 11 = ₱260

Therefore, the average price of the 11 brands of ice cream is ₱260.

3. Given: 175.45 kilometers

                12 liters of gasoline

Find the distance covered by a liter of gasoline.

175.45 ÷ 12 = 14.62 kilometers

Therefore, each liter of gasoline covers a distance of 14.62 kilometers.
