*The urethra serves a dual function in males. This channel is the part of the urinary tract that transports urine from the bladder and the part of the reproductive system through which semen is ejaculated. The prostate lies just under the bladder and surrounds the urethra.

*The accessory glands of the male reproductive system are the seminal vesicles, prostate gland, and the bulbourethral glands. These glands secrete fluids that enter the urethra.

*The vas deferens is a muscular tube, about 30 cm long, that connects the epididymis to the urinary tract (urethra) at the back of the bladder. The main job of the vas deferens is to transport mature sperm and semen to the urethra.

The egg takes several days to travel down the fallopian tube into the uterus. After it is in the uterus, a fertilized egg usually attaches to (implants in) the lining of the uterus (endometrium).
