- Pointer. This is indicating the measured values (0, 1, 2, 5, etc.) on the multimeter scale.
- Scale. This is used to read value of quantity.
- Adjustment screw. This adjusts the pointer to the zero position of the scale.
- Range selector knob (selector switch). This selects different function and range of the meter.
- Test pins. This is on the test probe.
- Test probes: positive (red), negative (black). This is connecting the circuit to the electrical components that is being tested.
- Zero-ohm adjusting knob. This is making the pointer zero-in before measuring resistance.
