Sagot :
INTERACTIONS AMONG LIVING & NON-LIVING THINGS
Living things or biotic factors are the components of the ecosystem that can be described as a living organism that may consume other living/ biotic organisms present in the ecosystem (e.g., animals, plants, insects, trees, humans, etc.).
Non-living things, also known as abiotic factors are the non-living components of the ecosystem (e.g., rock, sun, water, soil, etc.). These abiotic factors interact with the biotic factors by coexisting with each other.
The interactions between various biotic factors are necessary for the reproduction of each species and to fulfill essential requirements like food, etc. (this includes the food chain of the ecosystem).
Meanwhile, the abiotic factors are the ones that directly affect how organisms survive. Meaning, it shapes the environment by influencing which organisms can survive in a given place.
