Here is the list of Quadrilateral Shapes and Descriptions:

  • PARALLELOGRAM – Compose of 4 sides in which each of the sides is parallel to one another.
  • RECTANGLE- Closed shaped with 4 sides in which they are Opposites in size but the angles in the interior have a total of 90 degrees.
  • RHOMBUS – a type of Closed shape that has sides that are equal to each other and the angles placed on the opposite are also equal in length.
  • SQUARE- it has a closed shape that has 4 equal sides and all the angles in the interior are measured as 90 degrees.
  • TRAPEZOID – the opposites sides are parallel to one another and the interior side adjacent to one another have a measurement of 180 degrees.

Here are additional descriptions of the Properties of each type of Quadrilateral shape:

1. SQUARE -ALL SIDES ARE CONGRUENT

2. RHOMBUS OPPOSITE SIDES ARE PARALLEL

3. RECTANGLE- OPPOSITE SIDES ARE CONGRUENT

4. RHOMBUS- OPPOSITE ANGLES ARE CONGRUENT

5. SQUARE- OPPOSITE ANGLES ARE SUPPLEMENTARY

6. RHOMBUS- DIAGONALS ARE CONGRUENT

7. PARALLELOGRAM- DIAGONALS BISECTS EACH OTHER

8.  RHOMBUS-DIAGONALS BISECTS OPPOSITE ANGLES.

9. RECTANGLE- TWO PAIRS OF OPPOSITE ANGLES ARE CONGRUENT

10. PARALLELOGRAM -A DIAGONAL DIVIDED A QUADRILATERAL INTO 2 CONGRUENT TRIANGLES.
