First, I'd like to express the shame that Jesus would probably feel upon seeing one of his own pastors spreading a message of hate "in his name." As the Bible study coordinator at my nursing home, I know Jesus' message to be not much more than this: "Try harder every day to be more like me." Jesus spread a message of love and understanding to his people: "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her," and, "First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye." We also read that God creates all of his children perfectly in His image. This pseudo-Christianity is a disgrace and an embarrassment to what it really means to be a practicing Christian.
