Hypothalamus produce gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), which stimulates pituitary gland to secrete follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). During puberty, These two hormones stimulate the testis of male to produce testosterone and sperm cells while in female the ovary produces egg cells and two hormones such as estrogen and progesterone responsible for secondary sex characteristics and maintaining normal menstrual cycle. The anterior pituitary gland secretes two hormones: oxytocin during childbirth and prolactin after childbirth.
