1. It is important to take care of the soil for it not lose the nutrients the plant needs. Speaking of plants, it is also important to take care of it so as not to get rotten out so easily.

2. So that we can't place too much nutrients for the plants which is gonna be hard to take care of. Moreover, so we can have the average amount of nutrients in the plant, not too many and not too less.
