In this operation you always have to solve what's inside the parenthesis.
So you first solve
[tex]2 \div 3 = \frac{2}{3} [/tex]
then you multiply it with 6.
[tex] \frac{2}{3} \times 6 = 4[/tex]
Or like this,
[tex]6 \times (2 \div 3) = 4 \\ 6 \times ( \frac{2}{3}) \: \: \: \: \: \: = 4[/tex]
for the order of basic math operations, just follow PEMDAS, from left to right.
