In this operation you always have to solve what's inside the parenthesis.
So you first solve
[tex]2 \div 3 = \frac{2}{3} [/tex]
then you multiply it with 6.

[tex]6 \times (2 \div 3) = 4 \\ 6 \times ( \frac{2}{3}) \: \: \: \: \: \: = 4[/tex]
