The first thing that comes to mind is what kind of violence was perpetrated by the person. I don't like the word for some reason that I can't understand, but I've never known why the god awful feeling that comes over me whenever that word is mentioned for some reason. I'm not sure why, but when I think of one word, it's FEAR, and fear has always been the emotion that comes to mind when the word imprisonment is mentioned.
