A series circuit is one with all the loads in a row. There is only ONE path for the electricity to flow. If this circuit was a string of light bulbs, and one blew out, the remaining bulbs would turn off.
A series circuit comprises a path along which the whole current flows through each component. It is less used. It uses only one path for the electricity to flow. If a bulb break in the circuit the others will no longer function. An example of a series circuit is Christmas lights.
