Southwest monsoon (Habagat) has began to affect some parts of Western Luzon as it is being enhanced by a strong frontal system off South Korea. This weather system will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered to occasional light to moderate to at times heavy rain showers and thunderstorms across Batanes and Babuyan island group,Cagayan, Ilocos region, Zambales, and the Kalayaan island group. Moderate breeze to near gale winds of 30 to 55 km/hr will blow, making the seas moderate to very rough (1.5 to 5.5 meters), risky and dangerous to small and medium sea vessels. Southwesterlies (weak Habagat) will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy skies, breezy with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, MIMAROPA, Bicol region, Western Visayas, Sulu archipelago, and Zamboanga peninsula. Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated, scattered to widespread rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon.
