1.Animals, during respiration, take in oxygen and release carbon dioxide gas. Plants, on the other hand, utilize this carbon dioxide gas in the process of photosynthesis to produce food and release oxygen in the atmosphere.

2.Animals produce carbon dioxide gas and it is used by plants for photosynthesis.

3.Trees release oxygen when they use energy from sunlight to make glucose from carbon dioxide and water. Like all plants, trees also use oxygen when they split glucose back down to release energy to power their metabolisms

4.Oxygen helps the body's cells function normally. The cycle of carbon dioxide and oxygen on Earth is dependent on plants and animals. Plants provide the oxygen that animals and other living things need to survive. Animals and other living things provide the carbon dioxide that plants need to make their own food.
