Improper waste disposal is a common issue in Barangay Ligaya . Most of the neighborhood just throw their household garbages in their river. Until they were hit by the current typhoon that brought heavy rains. This cause the blockage of canals along with the garbages thrown by the villagers. This alarms the local officials and quickly summon his people to conduct a seminar and discuss the issue. They settled and established a rules to change their routines. They later realized the importance of having knowledge about proper waste segregation and applied it in their everyday life.
