So far, the latest eruptions of Bulusan (2017), Kanlaon (2017), and Smith (1924) did not result to any fatalities. The last time someone died from the eruption of these volcanoes was in 1996, when three hikers were killed while climbing Kanlaon volcano. It suddenly had a phreatic eruption which killed the hikers.
