I personally think that faith in God doesn' t eliminate trial, on th contrary, the closer we are to God, the more our faith and loyalty are being tested.
It doesn't make sense to think that faith in God would make us immune or exempt us from experiencing the harsh realities of life. Even religious people, priests, nuns, and the saints have their own share of trials and challenge in life. Whether you are a believer or not, when it rains and you don't have an umbrella, you'll surely get wet. God lets his sun shine to both the good and the wicked, to both the believers and the non believers.
Faith in God doesn't eliminate trials, it only gives us the strength to overcome them, and the right wisdom to understand why we need to experience them.
