In her break time, while her classmates are busy eating their snacks, she draws her attention on the chalkboard in front. She is thinking about its equal priportion. In her inquisitiveness, she asks her adviser about the size of the chalkboard, and her teacher replies, "the area of the chalkboard is 64 ft.2" she hurriedly goes back to her seat and try to compute the dimensions (length and width) of the chalkboard as her eagerbess wants to know.
1. Make an illustration of the chalkboard on your paper. 2. What do you think are the possible answer that mary would have solved? 3. Give possible techniques and ways to determine the dimention of the chalkboard. 4. If her adviser added that, "the length is 4 times longer than its width". What equation best describes the dimention? 5. How did you come up with the equation? 6. Do you think you can use the equation you have formulated to find the length and height of the chalkboard?
