A 30-m tape was used to find the distance between two

points and the recorded value was 131.25 m. After the

observation, however, it was discovered that the tape

was not properly aligned during measurement of each break

such that in the first break, the forward end was out of

line by an offset of 0.24 m to the left, in the second

break it was out by 0.46 m to the left, in the third

break it was out by 0.15 m to the right, and in the

fourth break it was out by 0.61 m to the right. What was

the correct distance?
