The Reclining Buddha in Wat Pho in Bangkok is arguably Thailand's most famous sculpture. It is an immense golden Buddha over 46 meters (140 feet) long and 15 meters high. Known as Phra Buddhasaiyat (“Giant Reclining Buddha”), it represents the Buddha before he passes into nirvana.
