Sagot :

Answer:

There are three types of research questions, namely descriptive, comparative and causal types

Explanation:

Descriptive researches are used to assist a study that aims to describe something. For example, polls conducted on public opinions. The aim of this study is to understand the public various opinions, which are mainly descriptive. Questions starting with “How much?”, “What amount?”, “what is”, “what are” etc. comes under the heading of descriptive research questions.

To analyze the difference between two or more groups, on the dependent variables, we use comparative research questions. Comparative research questions begin with “what is the difference between?’’. It may look into the distinguishing features of a variable upon different groups. A study to determine the proportion of males and females, who would vote for two different political parties, is a comparative research.

When a research is aimed to find out whether a variable causes one or more outcome variables, it is called a casual or relationship research. It is the study of cause and effect. For example, if the public opinion is affected by a recent event (cause), causal research would try to understand what the effect of that particular event is.
