Stages of a Butterfly's Life
The life cycle of a butterfly is truly amazing. First, an adult butterfly lay eggs on leaves or stems of plants. Next, the eggs hatch and give rise to the butterfly larva (plural larvae), which is also known as caterpillar. Then, the larva transform into pupa (plural pupae). Finally, the emergence of the adult butterfly from the cocoon is among the most beautiful sights in nature.
