Explain that the danger of technology lies on how humans make use of the technology.

Sagot :

The danger of technology lies in how humans make use of the technology

Technological advances have greatly improved our lives, but they often come with hidden costs(technology). Even the ancient skills of dealing with bronze and iron were driven not only by the desire for plows and tools, but also by the desire for better weapons of war. This is still true of much of modern science technology. Technical knowledge has helped fight illness, improve health, provide more food, enable faster travel, or alleviate difficulties, and it's progress. We like novelty and innovation, but forget that they happen at the limits of our understanding. Potential dangers are rarely seen or unpredictable. Innovation and knowledge are spreading at an unprecedented rate, but we individually understand a smaller percentage of the total. Technology isolates many people, especially the poor and the elderly, from society. Our reliance on computers is a clear example, as  changing systems are expensive or too complex for such people. Instead of benefiting them, they are marginalized. In addition, this technology is constantly being developed by young people who do not understand age-related deterioration of vision, sensitivity of display contrast to fading, or manual dexterity. Lack of understanding can  increase vulnerability to computer fraud involving both data and money. Technology is driving the exponential growth of cybercrime. This amounts to the billions of dollars a year worldwide and is on a strong uptrend.

How does human contribute in making technology dangerous?
