To love is actually something that is being taught to us when we were young. we were told by our parents to love our brothers and sisters, to love our father and our mother. It is easier to love your family, or someone who deserve your love. what is difficult however, is to love someone whom you don't like in the first place. Doing so is like trying to hug a cactus plant. But is it possible to love the unlovable? or the person we hate?
Well, it actually depends on how we understand love. If we think that love deserves and demands reciprocity, and mutuality, then there is no way you can love someone you don't like. Nevertheless, if you perceive love as a Christian language, and God's gift to humanity, then you won't find it as a problem to love the unlovable. Jesus, loved us all despite the vastness of our sins, and despite our unworthiness. loving the unlovable is possible for Jesus, for he knows well what love is.
True Love doesn't demand reciprocity, it is only given without expecting something in return. We are all capable of loving, but to love the unlovable, is something that few of us has mastered.
