Filtration
Filtration is technically defined as the process of separating suspended solid matter from a liquid, by causing the latter to pass through the pores of a membrane, called a filter.
Sieving
Sieving is a simple method of separating particles of varying sizes. A sieve like used to sift meal has very small holes. Coarse particles are separated or broken up by grinding against each other and the openings on the screen.
Evaporation
Evaporation happens when a liquid substance becomes a gas. When water is heated, it evaporates. The molecule s move and vibrate so quickly that they escape into the atmosphere as molecules of water vapor. Evaporation is a very important part of the water cycle.
Magnet
Magnets are objects that produce magnetic fields and attract metals like iron, nickel and cobalt. The magnetic field's lines of force exit the magnet from its north pole and enter its south pole.
