The planet does not emit any EM energy. It has a pretty darn steady magnetic field. A field has to change in order to propagate. A steady magnetic field just provides a force, no energy. So there is nothing that can be harmful if there is no energy there.
This is proven about a million times a day when somebody goes into a MRI scanner. The magnetic fields there are several thousand times stronger than the earth’s field and all you get is a mild thumping in the ears.
