why your favorite basketball team is NBA?

Answer:

I have always thought the 1995–96 Chicago Bulls was greatest team of all time, largely because it was a tremendous defensive team. The Bulls had a record of 72-10, one less win than the GS Warriors of 2015-16.

Three of the five Bulls starters were all time great defenders at their positions- Jordan (SG), Pippen (SF) and Rodman (PF). Harper was also very good defensively, and usually covered the quick point guards. Longley was not a great center, but provided a big body to cover the outstanding centers- Shaq, Olajuwon, Robinson and Ewing. Rodman may have been the best rebounder in the league while with the Bulls.

The best defender, however, may have been the Randy Brown, a reserve who specialized in covering the small, quick point guards like John Stockton.

Two of the Bulls second unit were not great defenders, but made excellent offensive contributions. The 6th man was Toni Kukoc, a 6-10 SF with quick moves to the basket and a very good shooter from mid and 3-point range. The best 3-point shooter and one of the best in the league was Steve Kerr, now the coach of the GS Warriors.

Offensively, Jordan led the way, continuing his record of 10 consecutive scoring titles. Jordan is the only player, other than Wilt, with a lifetime average over 30 ppg. Pippen often played the role of point forward like LeBron, and was very effective in this role.

The Bulls during the first 3-peat in 1990-1993 were almost as good as the Bulls in 1995-98. Jordan and Pippen led the way on offense and defense. Horace Grant was an outstanding PF, like Rodman was on the later 90s team. Bill Cartwright was a defensive force at center. Paxson was a clutch shooter like Steve Kerr on the later 90s team.
