Sagot :
Why do you think is autumn always associated with the concept of death?
Autumn means fall, that is why it is associated with death.
Death is frequently associated with fear in our culture. It appears to be as devastatingly final and excruciatingly unjust as late blight on tomatoes. However, the concept that death is a terrifying occurrence is a very human one, and one that we have just lately begun to tell ourselves. To our forefathers, death was both a source of pain and a source of release. Death was never considered an end for most of our forefathers. Rather, it was the start of a journey into the unknown.
The world transforms before our eyes in the autumn. We can no longer sleep walk through the monotony of our days as the backdrop blur of green fades away. The land, in shades of sunset and ember, ocher and flame, begs our entire attention. The maples light themselves on fire and invite us to locate the parts of ourselves that yearn to be alive— and the parts of us that are ready to be burned.
We make room inside ourselves for newness to emerge when we let go of everything that is about to decay. Dying has never been a conclusion; rather, it has always been a dazzling bridge to a new phase of existence. Dying, like compost converted into fertile, seed-ready soil, prepares us for a new stage of life.
