Sagot :
Answer:
Because they don't have enough hope in God and prefer slavery in Egypt because they said they have enough food in Egypt .
WHY IS IT THAT WHEN THE ISRAELITES ENCOUNTERED HARDSHIP IN WILDERNESS, THEY PREFERRED A LIFE OF SLAVERY IN EGYPT?
Israelites encountered hardship in wilderness because they were afraid and doubtful. When the Egyptians pursued them, they were afraid to die in the wilderness and be buried there. They blamed Moses for what he had done to them because he interfered with their slavery in Egypt and brought them out from Egypt. They said let us remain slaves of the Egyptians because we would rather be slaves than to die here in the wilderness.
Likewise, when the Israelites were hungry and thirsty, they preferred to return to Egypt and be enslaved because they said it is better in Egypt they had food to eat and water to drink. They preferred that God would killed them in Egypt, for in the wilderness they shall starve to death.
We can see in Israelites demonstrated attitude, they were afraid and they were stubborn, we can also see their lack of faith in God.
