It is spoken all over the world, not only as a first language as in England and America, but also as a second language in more than 70 countries. It is also taught as the chief foreign language in more than 100 countries. It has become an international language not because it structure is perceived to be inherently beautiful, neither is it because it has grammatical gender, nor because it is easier to learn. It is because its people have political military, or economic power.
