What I Have Learned

1. Gateway drugs such as cigarettes and alcohol are legal drugs that a non-drug user might try.

2. Cigarette is a small roll of finely cut tobacco leaves wrapped in a cylinder of thin paper for smoking.

3. Alcohol is a colorless, bitter-tasting substance that humans have been consuming since the ancient times.

4.Three smokes produced by cigarette smoking namely mainstream smoke, side stream smoke and third-hand smoke

5. The dangers of cigarette smoking are high blood pressure, heart diseases, bronchitis, emphysema, Cancer.

6. Nicotine, Tar and carbon monoxide are harmful chemicals and carcinogens that are present in cigarette.

7. The Republic Act No.9211, otherwise known as The Tobacco Regulation Act of 2003 is the law governing tobacco production, distribution, and use.

8. The three types of alcohol are isopropyl, ethanol and methanol

9. Long term effect of alcohol are, tolerance, dependence, cirrhosis, brain damage and alcoholism

10. BAC - blood alcohol consumption, measured in percentages amount of alcohol that has entered a person's bloodstream at a certain duration.​
