People who are suffering from hypoglycemia are not diabetic but people with diabetes can experience hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia occurs when the level of glucose in your blood drops below what is healthy for you. It can happen from excessive starvation, fasting or it may be other underlying diseases. People with diabetes either lacks or doesn't have enough insulin which helps blood sugar enter the body's cells so it can be used for energy that is why they have a high blood sugar level. They control it using insulin injectables or other forms of medicines to help decrease blood sugar level. People with diabetes can also experience hypoglycemia since they are on medication to decrease their blood sugar, if they do not have a proper meal while on medication their blood sugar level might drop eventually experiencing hypoglycemia.
