Literature has been a part of our life since then. It is a creative writing, especially of recognized artistic value. "Literature must be an analysis of experience and a synthesis of the findings into a unity." There are 5 types of literature and these are fictions, non-fictions, drama, poetry and folktale.
First is fiction, one of the most popular genres of literature. Fiction features imaginary characters and events. This is purely the writer's imagination. Second is the Nonfiction. Unlike fiction, nonfiction tells the story of real people and events. Some of it's examples are written in biographies, newspaper and articles.
The third one is drama, another popular category of literature, known as play which a story is created specifically for a stage performance. The next one is Poetry. In this style of writing, words are arranged in a metrical pattern and often in rhymed verse.
Last but not the least would be folktale.
This is also referred to as mythology, tells stories of originally oral literature and are meant to pass on particular moral lessons.
Overall, literature is used to entertain and to give aesthetic pleasure. The focus of the literary is on the words themselves and on a conscious and deliberate arrangement of the words to produce a pleasing or enriching effect.
