GIVEN
base 1 = 12 cm
base 2 = 16 cm
height = 7 cm
FORMULA IN FINDING THE AREA OF A TRAPEZOID
[tex]A = \frac{base1 + \: base \: 2}{2} h[/tex]
SOLUTION
[tex]A = \frac{base1 + \: base \: 2}{2} \: h \\ A = \frac{12 + 16}{2} \: 7 \\ A = \frac{28}{2} \: 7 \\ A = 14(7) \\ A = 98 \: cm ^{2} [/tex]
ANSWER
[tex]A = 98 \: {cm}^{2} [/tex]
