1. If you have a respiratory ailment, stay outdoors to avoid inhaling the dust and ash. Seek advice if it is safe to go outside.
2. Protect yourself by wearing a sleeveless and pair of short pants from volcanic dust. Also use a goggles or damp cloth over your face to protect your eyes.
3. Cross the bridge where mudflows can occur. When rain falls it mixes with ashes and other debris. Mudflows are most dangerous close to a stream channel.
4. List down the farthest evacuation center, if your area is in a danger zone.
5. If caught indoors, open all the windows and doors. Bring your pet or livestock in an open and safe shelter.
