As human beings, the moment we are born, we already take place in this world, and growing up, we slowly understand what role we could choose to play as individuals. However, even we have these privileges, it depends on what kind of role we will portray in front of our family and the community we are living in.
If I would compare my role being an individual in front of the family, I can say that I am more sensitive and expressive when it comes to them. My role as a sibling, daughter/son, granddaughter/son, niece/nephew is somehow different from how I portrayed my role as part of the community. Inside of my family, I feel more safe and protected. I participate as family members by supporting them and lifting them, helping them with small tasks and activities inside the house like household chores. Meanwhile, in the community, I discover that I am more open to new approaches and ideas that will help me become a better and influential member of my community. When I am in my community, I am excited to participate as a member of our community by suggesting things that might help us have a prosperous and strong community that other people might admire.
